Pharaoh has called for Moses and Aaron and commanded them to take the children of Israel and leave Egypt. And so, somewhere between two to two and a half million people begin their journey to the land that was given by God to their forefathers. Now had they gone the normal route they could have reached Gaza in about ten days, but God had a different plan. His plan was to take them by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea, a longer and more difficult way, but a way that would provide God with ample opportunity to show his compassion and power to his people. The Lord will often do the same thing today. If given the option we would probably all take the easiest road in every situation, but the easy road doesn t usually provide us with the opportunity to see God work. And since God wants to work in our lives He will at times lead us down the more difficult road just to show Himself strong on our behalf. Not only will the Lord at times lead us down a difficult road, sometimes He will put us in what seems to be, from a human standpoint, impossible circumstances, circumstances that are completely beyond our ability to handle, circumstances that are completely beyond anyone s ability to handle. This is where the children of Israel found themselves shortly after their departure from Egypt. Read text to verse 12. Here s Israel in what seems to be an impossible situation, filled with fear and frantically crying out to the Lord. What are they to do? Read text 13-15 I. Do not be afraid. a. My response to that admonition is greatly dependant on who s giving it. 1. God says to us; Do not be afraid. This admonition appears approx. 70 times. Fear not, I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. Genesis 15:1 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Isaiah 41:13 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore. Luke 12:7 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32 Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death. Revelation 1:17-18 II. Stand still. a. Fear causes us to act frantically. 1. When we become frantic we act irrationally. 2. When we become frantic we act before we pray. b. Stand still / be calm, rest firm in faith. Watch what God will do! c. The battle is the Lord s. III. Go forward! a. Don t let this situation stop you from doing what God has called you to do. Go forward! b. Parting the Sea. God doing the inconceivable! Nothing too hard for the Lord. Close: Maybe you re in a similar situation to the Israelites. Health problems, finances, family, etc. What do you do? Fear not, be calm, watch what God will do, go forward. †œвёџвNormalE$$$ЄЄd№*$1$@& ]„^„`„$a$-DMЦ џџe568:;<7S*CJOJPJQJ@ˆphsH mH tH _HH*>*KHEHaJfHqЪ џџDAђџЁDDefault Paragraph FontdiѓџГd Table Normal.aіі4ж4ж) 0 00# $ АаАаАа/ Ар=!А"Аl4ж4жl (kєџС(No ListЬўёџђЬ Free FormE$$$ЄЄd№*$1$@& ]„^„`„$a$-DMЦ џџY568:;<7S*CJOJPJQJ@ˆphsHmHH*>*KHEHfHqЪ џџШўёџШTitle AE$$$ЄЄd№*$1$@& ]„^„`„$a$-DMЦ џџY568:;<7S*CJ OJPJQJ@ˆphsH mH H*>*KHEHfHqЪ џџж џџџџ\z|˜r t ь ю № ЌЎАњќўОъью "JLNтфц§њєёюшхпйжаЪЧСЛИЏЃš‘…ypd^[UO CJph CJphCJ CJphCJOJPJQJphCJOJPJQJCJOJPJQJphCJOJPJQJphCJOJPJQJCJ CJphCJOJPJQJphCJOJPJQJCJ CJph CJphCJ CJph CJphCJ CJph CJphCJ CJphCJCJ CJphCJCJ ц‚„њвъью†˜šœF^`b˜МОРртф.02ސ’ђєі€§їєёышхпйжгЭЧФСЛЕВЏЉЃšŽˆ…yvpjga[XCJ CJph CJphCJ CJph CJphCJ CJph CJphCJ CJphCJOJPJQJphCJOJPJQJ CJph CJphCJCJ CJph CJphCJCJ CJph CJphCJCJ CJph CJphCJCJ CJphCJCJ CJphCJ"€‚„МОРртф˜šœ:<>J (–˜њєёыхмаЪЧСЛИВЌЃ —”Oˆ568:;<79XTS*CJOJPJQJ@ˆphџRHdsHmHtH_HH*>*KHEHwhџ *ehrЪџfHqЪ џџCJCJOJPJQJCJCJOJPJQJ CJph CJphCJ CJph CJphCJ CJphCJOJPJQJphCJOJPJQJ CJph CJphCJ CJph CJph˜šœž ЂЄЛКuК0Кˆ568:;<79XTS*CJOJPJQJ@ˆphџRHdsHmHtH_HH*>*KHEHwhџ *ehrЪџfHqЪ џџˆ568:;<79XTS*CJOJPJQJ@ˆphџRHdsHmHtH_HH*>*KHEHwhџ *ehrЪџfHqЪ џџˆ568:;<79XTS*CJOJPJQJ@ˆphџRHdsHmHtH_HH*>*KHEHwhџ *ehrЪџfHqЪ џџЄІЊЌЛКuˆ568:;<79XTS*CJOJPJQJ@ˆphџRHdsHmHtH_HH*>*KHEHwhџ *ehrЪџfHqЪ џџˆ568:;<79XTS*CJOJPJQJ@ˆphџRHdsHmHtH_HH*>*KHEHwhџ *ehrЪџfHqЪ џџ\|t ю № ЎАќўью "LNфц„ьюšœ`bОРт§ћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћћтф02’єі‚„ОРтфšœ<>˜šœž ЂЄІЊЌ§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ћ§ћ§ћ§ћ§§ ц€˜ЄЎтЎџџUnknownџџж `iTimes New RomanTimes New RomanESymbolSymbolA&ArialArialaв0щ0Ў0Ю0в‰Д0 Pro W3в0щ0Ў0Ю0в‰Д0 Pro W3}Times New Roman BoldTimes New Roman Bold#ˆаh \йІ \йІ!€#@(0Root Entry()R*Ÿ+№-O.Ќ01‘3 4•6!7О9]:§<Ж>q@/AіCЫEАG’џџџџџџџџ€>еоБ€(h=53Ъ(€1Table—Ъ›ЗŸЩЃ№ЈЌRАЋЕЙЈО[УЧмЬабожђмс^ц ыЭ№УѕbљFќ>ў"џџџџџџ€(h=53Ъ€(h=53ЪWordDocument їїњ1G f!"Е#х%&V'Ž(йџџџџ€(h=53Ъ€(h=53Ъ.DataVзYF[Н^M`зc{fhгkŽnYq8twy№|ѓ€ƒ†-‰UŒТ’ѓ–?™{œх ;Ѓœ џџџџџџџџџџџџ€(h=53Ъ€(h=53ЪўџеЭеœ.“—+,љЎDеЭеœ.“—+,љЎ|8 ( 0щ§ ўџр…ŸђљOhЋ‘+'Гй0h (Pщ§ Be Still and Know that I am GodBrian BrodersenSummaryInformation ";e–иWІў(џџџџџџџџ€(h=53Ъ€(h=53Ъ˜DocumentSummaryInformation‚Е…
