In verse 45 of chapter 7 we pick up the narrative through verse 1 of chapter 8. Because verse 53 of chapter 7 along with the first eleven verses of chapter 8 are not found in a few of the older manuscripts some have rejected this story and insist that it should not be considered part of the inspired text. They often fail to mention that the story is present in over 900 manuscripts. I think the real reason that the text was called into question is that by the fourth or fifth century the church was so far removed from the type of Christianity revealed in the New Testament that they couldnТt imagine Jesus dealing so graciously with an adulterous woman, and therefore concluded that the story must be fraudulent. All I can say is, thank God itТs not a fabrication, but a true picture of GodТs mercy toward sinners! LetТs look that the story- 1. Woman caught in the very actЕ whereТs the man? 2. These men are seeking to entrap Jesus. 3. JesusТ indifference to them. 4. Jesus writing on the ground, the law written with the finger of God. 5. The suspenseЕ What will Jesus doЕ? How can he possibly get out of this trap? This story has led many to faith in Christ. Arthur Katz and Hala Tanagho, Jew and Muslim. 6. He that is without sin, literally УsinlessФ cast the first stone. 7. Neither do I condemn you. Jesus was the only one who could have thrown a stone and he didnТt. GodТs desire is to save us not condemn us. Jesus demonstrates that here. He has come to save us from the punishment our sins deserve, but also from the power of sin over our lives- go and sin no more! $)*Ч D П и V ` Е К в ╢ ╖ ¤¤∙ЎЎ∙ЎЄЎЄЎ∙6БCJCJ5БCJ5Б$═╬▒ ▓ ╬ ╧ , - M N Ц Ч D E Л М ╢ ╖ ¤√√√√√√√√√√√√√√√∙√√√√√$═╬▒ ▓ ╬ ╧ , - M N Ц Ч D E Л М ╢ ╖ ¤√░╨/ ░р=!░"░#Ра$Ра%░ i4@ё 4NormalCJOJPJQJmH <A@Є б<Default Paragraph Font(>`Є(Title$a$CJ*B`* Body TextCJ╖       аzЩ╖╖ ╖ ╖ %)*1╣╣  Brian Broderson^Macintosh HD:Users:brianbrodersen:Documents:Microsoft User Data:AutoRecovery save of Document1Brian BrodersonLMacintosh HD:Users:brianbrodersen:Documents:SERMONS:Gospel of John:Jesus.doc @А╢╢,O}╢╢▄╖А @GРTimes New Roman5РАSymbol3Р Arial3РTimes qИЁ╨h┴{з╞|з╞|з╞Mq#Ёе└┤┤А~0dbЁ  Jesus: Friend of SinnersBrian Broderson■  рЕЯЄ∙OhлС+'│┘0АРШ╝╚╘рЁ 0 < H T`hpx'Jesus: Friend of Sinners0.esuesuesuNormalFBrian Broderson1iaMicrosoft Word 10.1@╝┴ @─╓щdи╞@╢(Zи╞@ Ъ eи╞■  ╒═╒Ь.УЧ+,∙о0 hpРШаи ░╕└╚ ╨ ї'CalvaryChapelCostaMesaf Jesus: Friend of Sinners Title ■    ■   ■    !"■   ¤   %■   ■   ■                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Root Entry         └FАЄHw*и╞'А1Table             WordDocument        SummaryInformation(    DocumentSummaryInformation8            CompObj    XObjectPool            АЄHw*и╞АЄHw*и╞            ■                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           ■      └FMicrosoft Word Document■   NB6WWord.Document.8Root Entry         └FА 8ъъ╞1А 1Table         WordDocument        3SummaryInformation(    /░                                             ■                                                                                       *¤   ■   ■   -./02,■   456789:;<=■                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           DocumentSummaryInformation8            )DCompObj    XObjectPool            АЄHw*и╞АЄHw*и╞0Table            З ■     !"#$%&'(■   *+,-.■   012345■                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           ║└!е└!Нм└!е└!е └!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!е└!НмМ╖║ЬААШ0ААЬАА ╖ ╖ %)*1║э║  Brian Broderson^Macintosh HD:Users:brianbrodersen:Documents:Microsoft User Data:AutoRecovery save of Document1Brian BrodersonLMacintosh HD:Users:brianbrodersen:Documents:SERMONS:Gospel of John:Jesus.docBrian BrodersonLMacintosh HD:Users:brianbrodersen:Documents:SERMONS:Gospel of John:Jesus.doc @А╠_}▄4╖╕0 @10@0l@GРTimes New Roman5РАSymbol3Р Arial3РTimes qИЁ╨h┴{з╞║Cк|з╞Oq#Ёе└┤┤А~0dbЁ  Jesus: Friend of SinnersBrian Broderson■  ╒═╒Ь.УЧ+,∙о0 hpРШаи ░╕└╚ ╨ ї'CalvaryChapelCostaMesaf Jesus: Friend of Sinners Title■  рЕЯЄ∙OhлС+'│┘0АР■      └FMicrosoft Word Document■   NB6WWord.Document.8 i4@ё 4NormalCJOJPJQJmH <A@Є б<Default Paragraph Font(>@Є(Title$a$CJ*B@* Body TextCJ╕       аzЩ╕$═╬▒▓╬╧,-MNЦЧDEЛМ╖Ш╝╚╘рЁ 0 < H T`hpx'Jesus: Friend of Sinners0.esuesuesuNormalFBrian Broderson2iaMicrosoft Word 10.1@ЪB @─╓щdи╞@╢(Zи╞@дэ╤$ы╞ье┴Н@ Ї┐╖ jbjb┬┬иdиd╕      l°°°°°°(d╥╥╥╥ ▐ МъЎЎЎЎЎЎЎЎЮаааааа,я x╠9°ЎЎЎЎЎ╠F°°ЎЎЎFFFЎ:°Ў°ЎЮF °°°°ЎЮFXFЮ°°Юъ %O┴МF╥0ЮЮЮЗ FЗ ЮF├хJesus: Friend of Sinners Jn. 8:1-11 Intro: During the feast of Tabernacles the Jewish leaders sent officers to arrest Jesus.
