The New Testament connects the blood of Christ with justification, redemption, peace, cleansing and overcoming. The Apostle Peter refereed to Christs blood as Precious! Because of this scriptural emphasis on the blood of Christ, many of our songs and hymns contain references to the blood of Christ. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh, precious is the flow that makes me white as snow Its your blood that cleanses me, its your blood that gives me life, its your blood that took my place in redeeming sacrifice There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuels veins, and sinners plunged beneath its flood lose all there guilty stains We who have washed our robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb, glory in that blood, but it is not so with many of those outside the church. To some our references to the blood of Christ are appalling. They see this as a sure sign of our ignorance and superstition. They feel that such primitive ideas are not worthy of any serious consideration in the modern, or post-modern world! Let me give you an example of the current hostility toward our belief in the death of Christ for the sins of the world. In an article from the Washington Times, dated September 1st, 1995 on the Beijing Conference for Womens Rights, and a workshop conducted by former U.S. Congresswoman Bella Abzug. The article read: Mrs. Abzug joined hands with other women in a prayer tribute to Mother Earth that mocked orthodox Christian belief. Give thanks for the fruits of life, said a Brazilian delegate who led the group in prayer. Thanks to Mother Earth, for you give life. Thanks for water. People from my community decided no more Crucifixion. We believe in life. We celebrate life, not the Crucifixion. We are power. Man cries out, We celebrate life not the Crucifixion! Jesus Christ said, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son and drink His blood you have no life in you! 1. The amazing scientific accuracy of Moses. 2. We are standing on firm ground both biblically and scientifically. As is always the case, true science is in complete harmony with the scriptures. Do you have life? Are your sins cleansed?
