He describes them as: Having washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb; Being before the throne of God; Serving Him day and night in His temple; Never hungering or thirsting; Being led by Jesus the good shepherd to living fountains of water. Many of the things that will be true of them then are true of us now. I. Our sins have been cleansed by the blood of Christ. A. Earlier in this book of Revelation: To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood& You are worthy to take the scroll, and open it s seals; for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood& Think of the songs and hymns written that refer to the blood of Christ. It s your blood that cleanses me, it s your blood that gives me life, it s your blood that took my place in redeeming sacrifice& There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel s veins, and sinners plunged beneath it s flood lose all there guilt and stains& Here is love vast as the ocean, loving kindness as the flood, when the prince of life a ransom, shed for us His precious blood. On the mount of crucifixion, fountains flow deep and wide, through the floodgates of God s mercy, flowed a vast a gracious tide. We who have washed our robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb, glory in that blood, but it is not so with many. To some our references to the blood of Christ are appalling. They see this as a sure sign of our ignorance and superstition. They feel that such primitive ideas are not worthy of any serious consideration in the modern, or post-modern world! B. But are these ideas really primitive? We are not primitive and superstitious in our belief in the efficacy of the blood of Christ to cleanse us from sin and to give us life. We are standing on firm ground both biblically and scientifically. c. The function of blood in the physical body. 1. Red cells 2. White cells 3. Antibodies d. The Blood of Christ. a. 1 John 1:7 says, the blood of Jesus Christ God s son cleanses us from all sin. II. Therefore, they are before His throne& Access by the Blood of Christ- Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh& Let us draw near with a true heart and full assurance of faith. III. Serve Him in His temple day and night- a. We have the incredible privilege of serving the Lord 24/7 and discovering the purpose of our lives. IV. Never hungering or thirsting- a. He who comes to me will never hunger. He who believes in me will never thirst. Promise of fulfillment, satisfaction and contentment. V. Led to living fountains of water- a. Times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Close: These blessings belong to those who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. The robe speaks symbolically of our lives. And we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags. God has provided a cleansing agent: The blood of Christ which cleanses a man from all sin. Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? †œвёџвNormalE$$$ЄЄd№*$1$@& ]„^„`„$a$-DMЦ џџe568:;<7S*CJOJPJQJ@ˆphsH mH tH _HH*>*KHEHaJfHqЪ џџDAђџЁDDefault Paragraph FontdiѓџГd Table Normal.aіі4ж4ж) 0 00# $ АаАаА|.
